I don't know, I like her face a lot better when it's not painted. Something was lost, she looks just weird.

Now, I've seen this a few other times before, but is it better to start off with the darkest tones first and work towards lighter ones?

it's how i learned to paint. there's no right or wrong. some people are more comfortable with light to dark. work the way you understand best :)
