this was months in the works between everything from work to life itself. the original version was probably more ambitious a year ago when i first sketched an idea of bianca going into a group of ape shit ninja like people. however, this is me in my ongoing series of dan-listens-to-too-much-metal paintings.

Just want to say, incredible. I'm particularly impressed with the fire and the light from it... in my (very limited experience) that's a very hard thing to get right... particularly getting the saturation balance dead on. But you've done it perfectly. Beautiful image.
I love the composition and the lighting in this, as well as the facial expressions.
I wish I could make believeable folds like the ones on Bianca's samurai pants to the same level as you've demonstrated.
You did an awesome job on the fire, honey. Clearly, you can bend Painter's glow brush to your will, like a jedi master! Now I must go and investigate this brush, for I've never heard of it before and I've had Painter for ages.... muah. I am a fool. ^_^
