Last winter..or was it earlier this year...I held an art contest for prestige, prizes, and bragging rights on your block. So what the hell, why not do it again? You don't have to, yknow...It's cool....be a loser...see if I care if your friends call you names and kick your ass after school. Now if you're one of the cool ones who averts an asswhoopin, read the next section!





Basically, you draw, paint, render, whatever, either Mia or Bianca (What? I like Italian girls). See below for their examples. Use whatever medium you so desire. Feel free to take artistic freedoms, but not too far from their looks. I wanna look at them and at least say that's them. Any style is allowed.

- ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SENT VIA NOTE!!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!

- This contest ends on Jan 13th, 2007 at MIDNIGHT EST.

- If you post your entry on Deviant art, please please please link back to me and the contest.

- You may enter one or a pic seperate pics of both (up to 2 entries)

- I love nudity like the next pervert, but please, nothing nasty...no porn/hentai...keep it artistic.

- If you don't place where you think you should have placed, try not to be a sour puss and bitch about it...especially on your deviant art journal (yes, it happened last time with a contestant)

WHAT DO I WIN?????

Mia is my mascot. She's really short, probably about 5 ft tall and a lil round. She's a mechanic as well as auto racer (please, no NASCAR references ) She dresses kind of "alterna-girlish". The only thing I really stress is her obcenely long hair, blue eyes, and the 5 hoop earrings down her left ear. Take a cue from the examples.

Bianca's some warrior/samura/ninja/whateverthehell fantasy female I derived out of frustration last year. She's pretty tall and lanky, around 5'11 or so. Likewise, she sports blue eyes and bloody long hair, only her hair is a dark brown and reflects a little reddish. The outfit you put on her is really your call....I've gone from the bandages and samurai pants, to a smaller top and armour on her right shoulder/upper arm area (blame Soul Calibur 3). I will stress that she has one or both of her VERY LONG katana-like swords (no comments from the sword nerds here, please...it's fantasy). The handle is a burgundy red; the tsuba and handle end are gold; the blade is STRAIGHT NOT CURVED. Once more, lookit what I've done with her:

Some common questions and situations that arise on occassion.

What program do you use?
I mostly work with Painter 7.

Sweet, so what brush??
I have a custom set of variations of smeary oil brushes I've made over the years. But i also use the Round Camelhair once in awhile.

Can you help me with Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Painter 9, etc
I can recite you Painter 7 like the back of me hand. Anything else, you're barking up the wrong tree.

PLEASE!!! MAKE A TUTORIAL!!!
Look, I'm not good with words. I can't describe what it is I do every painting. This method changes every time I paint...seriously. This always has been and always will be a learning process for me. I show the occassional work in progress shot of an up and coming painting. If there's any question you have, feel free to ask and I'll give it my best to answer.

How big are you working?

I work no smaller than 5000pixels and no larger than 8000pixels, but that number is growing. All pics are done at 300dpi.

How much are your commissions?

Do you take Paypal?

Damn right I do!! However I may ask for a couple of extra bucks to cover the Paypal fees. I also accept Money Orders. Cheques/Checks are at your own risk, and I will wait up to 2 weeks for them to clear before I even start work. I ask for at least a 50% deposit before I begin sketching.

I'm broke, but do you take requests?

I don't mean to be rude, but, between jobs, I barely have time to do work for myself, so it's pretty presumptuous to think I'd spend that time doing free art for someone I barely know , if at all. THis is how I pay my bills.

OK, but I see you're on Gaia, so how about I pay you a ton of gold???

See above...pixels aren't real money and never will be. If I'm holding an auction by myself or with a friend, then that's your opportunity. Otherwise, don't even ask.
